| After the fall from the top of the pedestal, I lay motionless and shattered on the floor. Straining to bring myself to a sitting position, I looked at my legs, only to see them bent and twisted in unnatural angles. One of my feet had broken off entirely. My left hand had slid halfway across the room, and part of my skull had stayed behind on the floor when I sat up. "Not again!"
